Plastics was a very important invention, which has today a multitude of applications in all areas, including medicine, automotive, construction, and much more.

No one can deny that without plastics, we would not have the technology we currently have; but did our reliance on plastics go too far? From being used only for long-lasting things, plastic is now being used for most single-use items. Things that should not even be wrapped are being wrapped.
