Mrs. Jurgensen loves mixing arts and technology into her classrooms. It is easy to be engaged when you are having fun, and kids learn much better that way!

Originally a digital artist with over 20 years of experience, Mrs. J. has taught arts, pottery, science, coding, 3D sculpting and printing projects, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, as well as web design, film and animation.

She has experience teaching all grade levels, but had her specialty and practicum in High School.

She is certified to teach K to 12, but specifically the following:
  • Science and Biology
  • Information And Communications Technology
  • Arts, Photography and Ceramics
  • Textiles and Foods/Nutrition

Mrs. J. also LOVES making murals and big things with kids.

Who knows what will happen this year? Every year is different, and your experience will depend a lot on you!

Mrs. J. is fair and expects a lot from her students. She believes every one of her students is capable of GREAT things, every one of them can excel with the right inspiration, and that we can all use our combined creativity and excitement to make the world a better place. One of her career goals is to help students discover their passions.

Her hobbies include creating whimsical art, playing violin, dancing, singing, writing, reading, cooking, sewing and playing with her flandoodle puppy, Oliver.
